Military Teens in 2023
We joined with Bloom once again to survey military teens. Download the reports below to find out what we learned.
How are our military teens doing in 2022?
We joined with Bloom again to survey military teens for another year.
In both years, we utilized a descriptive, cross-sectional study design, providing us with a snapshot of the military teen population at two points in time using a voluntary response sample. The limitation of this sample is that it is somewhat biased; some people will inherently volunteer more readily than others. But the story they told was clear.
NMFA and BLOOM Partner on Military Teen Survey
Together with Bloom: Empowering the Military Teen, NMFA surveyed over 2,000 military teens in May 2021 using the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale (WEMWBS). This validated, 7-item scale was used to measure the well-being and psychological functioning of our military teen community ages 13 and up.
