At NMFA, we have been honored to work alongside such change-makers throughout our organization’s history —service women, military spouses, and the women who make up our military community.
Black History Month is important. And not just for African Americans and me, but for all. It is a gateway for everyone to learn from our history.
In 2022 we were laser focused on military family wellbeing, ending military food insecurity, and enhancing financial security.
A running joke, at least in my circle, is the only people who remember it’s Military Spouse Appreciation Day are military spouses themselves.
The key takeaway from this event: we need to listen to our military teens and collaborate with them to enable their successes in life.
