NASCAR Champion Brad Keselowski Races to Support Military Families
With the roar of the engines and the cheers of the crowd as a backdrop, five lucky military families joined Brad Keselowski for his latest victory at the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Southern 500. Earlier in the day, Brad—the 2012 NASCAR Champion—met with each family to show his appreciation for their service. As he graciously signed shirts, hats, and pictures, he spoke at length with the service members and their families. This opportunity was made possible thanks to Brad Keselowski's Checkered Flag Foundation (BKCFF).
BKCFF partners with the National Military Family Association to offer our wounded service members and families a three-day Operation Purple Healing Adventures® at no cost. In addition to sponsoring our healing retreats, Brad offers race tickets to the families that attend as an added “Thank You.”
One of the participants of the retreat thanked Brad in a letter stating, “It amazes me how you as a person have such a heart to provide families like us with this blessing. I hope you realized the hearts you touch. Thank you, from the bottom of my family's heart. We are forever grateful.”
The National Military Family Association would like to echo those words. Thank you Brad for making it possible for these families of the wounded to experience a once-in-a-lifetime retreat and race. Congratulations on your win and for allowing us to be a part of your amazing victory!
