Kelly is a proud 20+ year Air Force spouse from Mt. Zion, Illinois. She graduated from Illinois College in 1994 with a BS in Mathematics and married her high school sweetheart, Steve, in June 1995. They have one daughter, Abigail, who keeps them busy driving to/from dance, Tae Kwon Do, soccer, youth group and spending time with friends. Kelly’s unshakable passion is helping fellow military spouses. Kelly started with NMFA in April 2014 as an Administrative Volunteer for the scholarship program. At the end of her 4 month internship, she asked if she could stay on and continue to help. Since then she was selected as the 2014 Margaret Vinson Hallgren Award recipient and has volunteered over 800 hours. Kelly enjoys math, cats, 80’s music, anything involving sorting & organizing things, and travel adventures with her family.
