The mission of the Armed Services YMCA of the USA is to put into practice through educational, recreational, social and religious programs and services for military personnel. They offer programs such as childcare, hospital assistance, spouse support services, food services, computer training classes, health and wellness services, and holiday meals, among others.

Military 4-H Programs
With the support of 4-H professionals, military staff and volunteers provide quality developmental programs for children in safe and nurturing environments so that military men and women can pursue their critical, high risk assignments.

Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC)
The Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, world-wide organization, focused on ensuring quality educational opportunities for all military children affected by mobility, family separation, and transition.

Military Community Youth Ministries
MCYM staff and volunteers seek to love teens unconditionally and provide a model of Christian hope in their military communities through weekly Club and activities.

Military Interstate Children's Compact Commission
The goal of the compact is to replace the widely varying policies affecting transitioning military students. The compact leverages consistency: It uses a comprehensive approach that provides a consistent policy in every school district and in every state that chooses to join. The compact addresses key educational transition issues encountered by military families including enrollment, placement, attendance, eligibility and graduation.

Military Kids Connect
MilitaryKidsConnect (MKC) is an online community of military children (ages 6-17 yr old) that provides access to age-appropriate resources to support children from pre-deployment, through a parent's or caregiver's return.

This website is a great place to connect with other military teens. Create a profile, make new friends and talk about everything from moving and friendships to dating, school and more.

Military Youth on the Move
This DoD site offers information and tools for military kids facing transitions - deployments, moving, divorce.

Our Military Kids
Provides tangible support to children of deployed National Guard and Reserve personnel as well as to children of severely injured service members through grants for enrichment activities and tutoring. Such activities help these children cope with the stress of having a parent in a war zone or recovering from injury at home.
