42,000 Military Kids Depend on You
Though considerable progress has been made over the past several years to help military families address their educational concerns, many issues still remain that require state cooperation. To address these transition issues, the Department of Defense, Council of State Governments, and organizations concerned with military children's education created the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children. Advocacy in Action: Grace Larsen
It is no surprise that Grace Larsen’s favorite TV show is “Survivor.” She has demonstrated an ability not only to survive but also to thrive in the military way of life she has been given. Only 16 years old, Grace may not have lived on a deserted island just yet, but with her mom and recently-retired Army dad, she has lived in more than seven locations, and visited sixteen countries in as many years of her life!
