Camp Whittier is nestled among the hills of the Los Padres National Forest. The private, tucked-away 55 acre resident camp is bounded by hiking trails and hosts an abundance of wildlife in an oak woodland area. Cachuma Lake is within easy hiking distance.
Camp Whittier provides an opportunity to grow and learn in a safe environment, to gain an appreciation for the natural world & to provide campers an opportunity to contribute. Our youth gain increased knowledge and respect for the natural environment and learn to value humanity. In addition to the wonderful activities that are traditional; archery, swimming, ropes course/rock wall, hiking, & silly songs, we will be making crafts and discovering the arts through music and drama. With hands on craft projects, leadership and survival skills we will promote teambuilding, stewardship and personal connections. Our activities & celebrations will center on renewing our connections to the earth and to each other.
