Include the National Military Family Association in your will

Including a bequest to the National Military Family Association in your will or trust is one way to commit to the wellbeing of military families and can be the foundation of a lasting legacy. Sample language can be as simple as “I give and devise to the National Military Family Association (Tax ID #52-0899384), located in Alexandria, VA, the sum of $(name amount here) or (name asset here) to be used for its general support of military families."

Make a gift from your retirement account

Retirement plans such as IRAs, 401(k)s and 403(b)s allow you to designate a beneficiary to receive all or part of the assets in your plan. Naming the National Military Family Association as a beneficiary of your retirement plan assets may enable you to give more to a favorite cause, while helping your family avoid the tax burden associated with these funds.

Make a gift of life insurance

Gifts of life insurance that are no longer needed may offer excellent tax benefits and will allow you to make a very significant gift to support military families. You can name the National Military Family Association as the beneficiary of a new or existing life insurance policy. You may also designate the Association as the owner of a policy.
