Individual Giving
Military Children and Family Initiatives
Your gift will help us strengthen and protect military families during these often challenging but hope-filled days. Half of today’s military is married – with more than 1,000,000 children. The other half is single and relies heavily on mom and dad. We work hard to ensure that the support and programs these proud but anxious families need are available, and voice their concerns to anyone in a position to make a difference. Whether it’s our free summer camps for thousands of children of deployed service members, retreats for families seeking to reconnect following long separations, scholarships for military spouses, or changes to policies affecting families – we do whatever it takes to help. We couldn’t do it without the generosity of Americans everywhere. Give Online Now or click here for a printable giving form.
Operation Purple® Program
Currently, more than 155,000 military kids have moms and dads deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. War’s uncertainty and the absence of a parent are stressful for these children, so we created the Operation Purple program to help. In addition to the fun-filled activities and excitement of traditional camps, the Operation Purple program provides a peer group to confide in, skills to better cope with separations, and a break from additional responsibilities at home. Operation Purple also offers retreats to help families of the deployed and wounded navigate the reintegration period after returning home. The retreats allow them to adjust to the changes that occurred during separations, reconnect as a family, and discover activities they can continue to enjoy together.
Through your generosity, the Operation Purple program will continue to strengthen military families during these challenging but hope-filled times. Give Online Now or click here for a printable giving form.
