MyICP Helps Spouses Plan for Careers or Education

Military spouses who need guidance on education and careers have a new online tool at their fingertips in the form of My Individual Career Plan (MyICP), which allows spouses to build a virtual career roadmap based on their personal goals and objectives. MyICP was created by Military OneSource’s My Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (MySECO) program.

MyICP is available for all active duty, Guard and Reserve spouses whose service members serve in the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps, as well as surviving spouses of service members who perished while on active duty. Spouses register and submit information about their personal career goals, and the program populates information tailored to the individual. The spouse chooses from categories such as “challenges and growth opportunities” to learn more about topics such as child care and relocation; or time-management skills. Ultimately, the program produces a MyICP to recommend activities and action-items a spouse can complete to further their career and education goals based upon the information they previously input.
