On April 15, the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) announced that it will begin accepting applications for its grant program. The grant program, which is managed by DoDEA’s Educational Partnership, awards funds to school districts educating large numbers of military-connected children. (More)
Idaho 45th State to Adopt the Interstate Compact

On April 9, 2013 Idaho became the 45th state to adopt the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children. With only five states remaining, more than 95% of military children are covered by the Compact. This is wonderful news for military families with school-age children. (More)

Army Issuing Gold Star Installation Access Card for Survivors

On March 14, Army installations began issuing a standardized Gold Star Installation Access Card to parents and siblings of deceased active duty Soldiers to allow unescorted access to the installation, so they are able to receive services and support.
