West Region Waiver Dates Extended

TRICARE is extending the temporary waiver for West Region Prime enrollees to get authorizations for specialty care referred by their primary care manager. The waiver will now include specialty care referrals received from April 1 through July 2. (More)
Senate Armed Services Committee Marks-up Defense Bill

The Senate Armed Services Committee completed its mark-up of the Fiscal Year 2014 National Defense Authorization Act on June 14. The bill now heads to the Senate floor for a final vote. The House finalized their deliberations on their version of the Defense authorization bill at the same time.

Commissaries Plan to Close Mondays

On May 24, The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) announced that commissaries will close on Mondays beginning on July 8 and probably lasting through September 30. The closures will be for up to 11 days.
