DeCA Announces Back-To-School Specials
Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) announced that commissaries are gearing up for back-to-school season, with several money-saving specials. Many of DeCA's industry partners are offering special discounts beyond everyday savings.
Customers should check with their local stores to see if they will be offering these special discounts:
- From July 25 to August 21, some DeCA industry partners are donating part of their sales proceeds to the Scholarships for Military Children program.
- Dixon Marketing is sponsoring an essay contest for school-age children, giving them a chance to win one of 10 Kindle Fire tablets.
- General Mills will be holding a special Box Tops for Education event, July 25 to August 21, during which many items will be worth 20 cents, instead of 10 cents. Schools can use the money earned to buy computers, library books, art supplies, and playground equipment.
- Some DeCA industry partners will provide commissary shoppers with coupon booklets at commissaries for fresh meat and produce, family meal favorites, and back-to-school necessities.
We would like to thank S&K Sales Company for continuing their support of the National Military Family Association through their “Salute to Military Families” program. From July 25 to September 25, commissaries will distribute 650,000 flyers offering discounts on numerous products, and a portion of the purchase price of each of those products will be donated to our Association. Thank you, S&K Sales Company!
Until military families are relieved of the weight of war, we hope you will continue to contribute to their wellbeing.
