Caregiver Resource Directory Released
The Office of Warrior Care Policy recently released a Caregiver Resource Directory designed specifically for caregivers of recovering service members. It includes information about more than 300 government and nonprofit organizations that provide support to wounded warriors and their families.
Caregivers of recovering service members face new and demanding challenges. With so many organizations offering different types of help, it can be difficult to find the specific organization that is best suited to address a family’s needs. The Caregiver Resource Directory is sorted by the most common, everyday needs making it easy to use and allowing caregivers to quickly find the most relevant resources. Sections include:
- Helplines Offering Information and Assistance
- Advocacy and Benefits Information
- Caregiver Support
- Children’s Needs
- Education and Training
- Financial Support
- Home and Automobile Modifications and Special Equipment
- Online Social Networking
- Peer Support and Mentoring
The Caregiver Resource Directory is available in both print and e-versions. The e-version is downloadable and printable. To request a printed copy of the directory, or to provide feedback, please email the National Resource Directory.
Until military families are relieved of the weight of war, we hope you will continue to contribute to their wellbeing.
