Association Storms the Hill to End Sequestration
On Thursday, September 12, military families visited all 535 Congressional Office to share with Senators and Representatives the real effects sequestration is having on the military community. Each Member of Congress received a photo book with personal stories and photos submitted by military families stationed around the world. These images and accounts show how sequestration has hurt their families and disrupted their community. Share our journey!
The National Military Family Association produced the book in partnership with Macho Spouse, MilitaryOneClick, Military Partners and Families Coalition, Military Spouse Magazine, and SpouseBUZZ.
“We’re a community of problem solvers,” says the Association’s executive director, Joyce Raezer. “However, now that sequestration is the law of the land, Congress is the only one who can fix this. That’s why we’re asking Congress to #EndSequestration.”
Sequestration is unraveling the yellow ribbon of military family support. Help us keep our military families strong! Download a PDF version of this book to take to your state’s lawmakers.
