New Board Members Welcomed to National Military Family Association

ALEXANDRIA, VA January 20, 2011— The National Military Family Association is pleased to welcome nine new members to its Board of Governors in 2011 for a two-year term:

Michael Thornton (USAF Ret)
Charlotte Tsoucalas (USAF Ret, Spouse)

These newest volunteers are welcomed by Association Board Officers, Chairman Mary Scott, Vice-Chairman Cheryl Glang, Treasurer David Fee, and Corporate Secretary Paul Arcari. The National Military Family Association appreciates the dedication and commitment of its entire Board of Governors.

The Association’s all-volunteer Board of Governors is responsible for setting the policies and objectives of the Association and overseeing the budget and allocation of funds. The Board evaluates the Association’s progress toward meeting its mission to fight for benefits and programs that strengthen and protect uniformed services families and reflect the Nation’s respect for their service.

Board members graciously give their time and talents as spokespersons for the Association and connect the Association with key individuals and organizations who can help further its mission. They constantly demonstrate their commitment to maintaining the Association’s position as the leading nonprofit organization that works to improve the lives of military families.
